Between the two of us we've been in various stages of pregnancy, post-partum, and/or breastfeeding for 5 years (and counting). Our combined works include two sons and a daughter, as well as various bands, books, websites and screenplays. We both live in New York City. We've been friends for over fifteen years, and decided to team up to write From the Hips and start thenewmom.com when we both felt stranded for decent, open-minded (and agenda-free) advice about having and raising a baby.
